btone's Signature Class
Our workouts done on the Megaformer is an innovative workout specifically designed to strengthen, tighten, and tone the body quickly and safely. This workout is largely based on the holistic principles of Pilates, but also emphasizes the strength training and cardio elements not inherent to Pilates to achieve muscle definition faster than traditional Pilates and/or weight training alone. All in as little as 45 minutes!
By incorporating the key principles of core stability and blending them with the fusion of muscle dynamics, Sebastien Lagree has created “THE NEXT EVOLUTION IN PHYSICAL FITNESS”. Simply put this is the most innovative and aggressive approach to full body conditioning. The composition of this method is significant in that it encourages maximum exertion while allowing for low risk of injury. The workout strengthens the body, tones and elongates the muscles, improves endurance, jump-starts the metabolism, burns fat, increases flexibility and postural alignment, and restores the body’s natural balance. The client, at conclusion, is left with a POWERFUL BODY, resistant to the everyday stresses of work and life.
At the core of our TONE classes is The Megaformer™, which represents a significant evolution of the traditional Pilates reformer. It is designed to cater to both upper and lower body muscles, using a system of springs and pulleys to accommodate the resistance and counter-resistance elements of the workout. Under the guidance of your certified instructor, it’s one of the safest ways to strengthen your muscles while reducing stress on the joints and connective tissues. Some call it a “reformer on crack,” we call it genius.
Why sit and pedal when you can RYDE?

Originally the indoor bike was designed to simulate riding a real bike and it is understandable that in those early stages what was created was essentially a pedaling machine. However, somewhere along the line manufacturers of indoor bikes became stagnant and settled on only making slight improvements to these pedaling machines (stationary bikes). The designer of the RealRyder, Colin Irving, an avid and competitive cyclist realized this obvious flaw and set out to make the first dramatic improvement to the indoor bike. The result is the RealRyder® ABF8 what we like to call the first unstationary-stationary bike.
No longer will a person’s workout be limited to lower body and cardio; no longer will someone’s involvement be determined by their ability to imagine that they are moving. The RealRyder® mimics the real biking experience far better than any other indoor bike on the market ever has, because it leans and turns like an outdoor bike.
We mix these two dynamic and innovative workouts into one unreal workout: TONE n RYDE. Come see why this class was voted as Boston’s Best by the Improper Bostonian. Check the schedule out for these class times, and don’t forget your sneakers and a towel…you’ll need it!
Takes your heart on a roller coaster ride with the ultimate barre workout—no tutu required.
Barre Blast by Bethany is a one-of-a-kind barre class uniquely designed to define and tone long muscles, while simultaneously lifting your heart rate to a fat burning level. Unlike any other barre workout on the market, Barre Blast focuses on more than just shaping the muscles; it actually melts away the extra pounds so you can see those muscles.
Sick of treadmills, ellipticals, and the damaging effects running can have on the body, Bethany Meyers created Barre Blast as a heart-pumping alternative to your usual cardio routine. But cardio alone won’t cut it. Barre Blast’s movements are more than just quick; they change will change your body. The result? Lean legs that are beautifully developed. Arms that have delicate definition. A tight tummy and a waist that is cinched from the inside out. Since your heart rate is lifted through more than half of the class, you’ll see faster results…and looser jeans.
Barre Blast is a results-driven, low-impact and guaranteed fun workout. And while you don’t need to be able to touch your toes to take your first class, you’ll definitely gain more flexibility (fast!) as we sprinkle in static, active and dynamic stretches. Get BLASTED, no cocktails required!
